the long awaited portfolio site has arrived. i have been planning the launch of a permanent site to display my work for a long time. its here. i was recently turned on to a hosting site called viewbook that provides an amazing gallery view structure to display artwork. the interface is simple, elegant and very professional. i hope that you might stop by and take a look. i currently have a selection of artwork that im pretty proud of and will be adding often. each week at work i have the opportunity to create and push my limits as a designer and sometimes everything comes together just right. ill try to update when new work goes up. but please do check out the small offerings that are there now. comments are much appreciated. www.ryansharpeweaver.com

bear down you bears |
right when i get out of college baylor decides to bring back an awesome tradition, bear downs. bear downs was a long standing student foundation event that existed before the bear-athon was created. historically, bear downs was held in the colosseum and resembled velodrome style single speed bike racing. pretty freaking cool right? i know. anyway they are bringing it back this year with a twilight 30 mile single speed team bike rally on campus. not to sure about the details as of yet, but should prove to be pretty awesome. at work i have had the please of creating a lot of cool artwork for the event – shirts, posters and billboard signage. take a look. this was a super fun project for me. design + bikes = love. keep a look out for some rsw artwork to grace the 8th street billboard next the the fiji house.
some scary ones |
its nice to get the occasional print project at work. Im typically on shirt duty most of the time at work, so when i have the opportunity to switch gears and dive into photoshop i get pretty pumped. this project was for a fraternity at baylor. oddly enough the decided not to use these. some one internally got upset that they didnt get to do the design work. i had a good laugh, because they sent over an example of what they used last year for this event, lets just say it wasnt very good. i like these though
shirt of the week |

a bit of recent work at htr |
boom. here is a little taste of recent shirt work from hole in the roof. the office has been quite an experience so far. it has proved pretty difficult to adjust from designing on my own time to work time. a very demanding processes, but so enjoyable at the same time. take a look at the first fruits of labor. tell me what you think. ill post more soon. a lot of stuff hasnt been printed yet _ lots of greek designs and i wouldnt want to spoil their releases to the local waco community. but ill get em up here soon.
